What Beacon is
Beacon audits how ready a public storefront is for AI shopping agents. You enter a store URL; Beacon reads that store's public, agent-readable pages and returns a score. It only ever reads content the site itself publishes.
What we collect
- The URL you audit and the resulting score/report (stored so the audit can be re-opened from a share link).
- Your name and work email — only if you choose to submit the follow-up form, with your express consent. We never collect payment details.
- Product analytics via PostHog — page views, clicks (autocapture), heatmaps, and session replay with all form inputs masked. We do not record what you type into the name/email fields.
- Your IP address — used transiently for approximate location and to keep Beacon secure and reliable. It is not used to identify you.
How we use it
To run and improve the product, to show you your report, and — if you opt in — to have a Lazer solutions engineer follow up about your audit. We do not sell your data.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate Beacon — including PostHog for product analytics and session replay, alongside providers for hosting, email, and data storage. Each only processes data on our behalf, under their own terms.
Your choices
You can decline analytics at any time via the banner on the site, which stops PostHog capturing in your browser. To access or delete the personal data you submitted, email us and we'll action it.
